CALIFORNIA'S ATTEMPT TO PROTECT KIDS ONLINE COULD END ADULTS' INTERNET ANONYMITY

The California bill would require websites to verify the ages of visitors to the internet. Critics say it would be too intrusive to use the internet anonymously. The bill is similar to that of the UK's AADC, which protects children's privacy. But critics say it's not enough and should be replaced with a law that requires age verification of all visitors to access the web.
