THE FIRST HIGH-YIELD, SUB-PENNY PLASTIC PROCESSOR
Plastic processors can be made in the billions for less than a penny each. They can be built using the flexible thin-film semiconductor indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO), which can be bent around a radius of millimeters. The team designed 4-bit and 8-bit processors specifically to minimize size and maximize the percentage of working integrated circuits produced.
