Texas has embraced a cutting-edge approach to scoring standardized tests through an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered grading system. The state’s ambitious project arbitrating the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams through AI has sparked a discourse that penetrates the core of education’s future.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) holds high hopes for this nascent initiative, projecting a substantial saving of $15-20 million annually.
